Description of Services

I offer consulting services in strategic engagement, communications strategy, brand positioning, business development, stakeholder engagement, visual storytelling, and public affairs. Services may also include limited website support or maintenance when discussed and confirmed in advance.

I occasionally provide assistance to clients outside of Canada where it pertains to Canadian policy, import compliance, or regulation. All work is carried out in-house, and any collaborative work with client-side teams or third-party consultants is agreed upon at the start of the project.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing my website, booking a consultation, or entering into a service agreement with me, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Terms, along with any additional agreements or policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, please refrain from using my services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use or purchase my services.

Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

Unless otherwise stated in writing, clients are granted full rights to use the final deliverables I produce for their own business or organizational purposes. However:

• Deliverables may not be resold or commercially repurposed for resale to others without my written permission.
• I retain the right to reference non-confidential aspects of the work for professional purposes unless a confidentiality agreement is in place.

All other content on this website, including visuals, logos, and written material, is owned by me and may not be reproduced without written consent.

Access to Portfolio Content

Portfolio samples are reserved for current and prospective clients and are shared privately after an initial consultation, only if relevant. To protect client confidentiality:

• I do not publicly display client projects without written permission.
• You may not share, copy, or redistribute portfolio samples without my written consent.

Consultations and Service Agreements

I offer a complimentary introductory consultation to help determine if there’s a mutual fit. No professional advice or deliverables are provided during this call.

If we decide to move forward, you’ll receive a written service agreement via email for digital signature. This outlines scope, pricing, timelines, and revision terms. I reserve the right to decline projects at my discretion.

Revisions & Post-Delivery Changes

Revisions are included as defined in your specific service agreement. Additional rounds of edits, scope changes, or post-delivery requests not originally included may incur additional fees. These will be communicated transparently in writing before work proceeds.

Mutual Confidentiality

I respect your confidentiality and take steps to protect the information you share. Likewise, by engaging my services, you agree not to disclose any proprietary tools, drafts, or strategies I share with you unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing.

Payment Terms

• All invoices are issued in Canadian dollars (CAD), regardless of client location. Clients are responsible for currency conversion and any third-party processing fees.
• Invoices are typically issued through Stripe or PayPal. Alternative payment arrangements may be discussed in advance by emailing payments@hasbon.ca with your invoice number and link or PDF copy.
• Payment is due on the date stated on your invoice. Late payments may result in service delays or suspension and will be subject to a late fee. Final deliverables will not be released until full payment, including any late fees, has been received.
• Final deliverables are provided only after full payment is received. Prior to delivery, you may receive a preview or completion proof.
• Clients using retainers will receive a transparent summary of hours used. Once a retainer is fully utilized, a new invoice will be issued to continue work.
• New clients are generally required to pay 50% of the total estimated cost up front to secure the engagement. After a working relationship is established, flexible payment plans may be offered for future projects or retainer-based services.
• All completed work is non-refundable. If a project is canceled before completion, a cancellation fee may apply as outlined in your signed agreement.

Taxes

Any applicable Canadian taxes (e.g., HST or provincial sales tax) will be added to your invoice. Clients are responsible for meeting their own local tax obligations based on their country or region.

Suspension or Termination

I reserve the right to suspend or terminate service for failure to pay, breach of these Terms, or inappropriate conduct. In such cases, any completed work to that point must still be paid in full before access is granted.

Limitations of Warranties

I strive to provide thoughtful, high-quality work tailored to your needs. However, I do not guarantee specific results or business outcomes. Market conditions, internal implementation, or external changes may impact the effectiveness of any strategy or deliverable.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of revenue or profit) resulting from your use of my services. I am also not liable for technical issues or limitations arising from third-party platforms or tools used during the course of your project.

Language of Agreement

These Terms are available in English and French upon request. In the event of any inconsistency, the English version shall prevail.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable laws of the Province of Ontario, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
